Spring has sprung

Fantastic Tour de Gym in Fitness I today - eight students doing a combination of squats, burpees, rowing, jump rope, box jumps, thrusters, and some other exercises that were, on the whole, incredibly challenging. I hope that they surprised themselves in their ability to push through and manage their effort the second time we did the workout.

Today we're back on the flooded river trying to be as efficient as possible in preparation for Smith, Mount Holyoke, and Holy Cross. Both Smith and Holyoke are ranked highly within the region and it should be a good test of our developing speed on all the levels of our program. It will also be our first visit to Lake Quinsigamond since last year's New England Championships.

Focus for today: Allowing intensity to flow continuously and understanding that balance point between the technical and incredible intensity. Finally a beautiful day as well - 61 degrees and sunny!
